Brad Peters is Chairman and CEO of Success Metrics, Inc. Before joining Success Metrics, Brad was the Senior Director for Analytics at Siebel Systems, where he managed Siebel's analytics platform and applications product suites. During his tenure, the Siebel Analytics product line grew from nearly zero to more than $100 million in annual license revenue, and became the largest global provider of customer-centered analytics products. At Siebel, Brad also led early development of Siebel's internet platform, which helped transform it from a traditional client-server solution to a leading eBusiness platform. He also started Siebel's first hosted application business and the industry's first online sales force automation application. Brad began his career as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley in the New York M&A practice. Brad received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He also received a BS and an MS in electrical engineering and computer science from UC Berkeley, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow and a California Microelectronics Fellow.
Joe Murphy is the Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and has 30 years of executive, sales management and business/market development experience with several emerging software companies such as Enigma, Unveil Technology, SpeechWorks International, GeoTel Communications, Cognos, Computervision and Xerox. Most recently, Joe was VP of Sales at Enigma, the leader in aftermarket service and support technology, where his responsibilities included all aspects of driving sales and service for the company. He is uniquely equipped with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by "developing" organizations, and has a strong track recordincluding four IPO's and two acquisitions post-IPOof driving rapid revenue growth, building teams and launching successful products. Joe graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science, Concentration in Marketing. He is active in fundraising for Autism Speaks (NAAR) and Special Olympics.
Paul Staelin, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for ensuring the success of Success Metrics' customers as well as Success Metrics' marketing and positioning efforts. Before joining Success Metrics, Paul built and managed Siebel's Sales Analytics product line, overseeing its growth from $0 to over $40 million per year in license revenue and expanding its footprint from nothing to include both Siebel and non-Siebel data. During his time at Siebel, Paul also managed several key components of Siebel's Sales Force Automation product line, developing expertise in both forecasting and lead management processes. Prior to Siebel, Paul co-founded emPower Corporation and served as its President for several years, developing key channel relationships and reference customers while overseeing initial product development. Paul also has experience at Sun Microsystems, PictureTel and POLYCOM. Paul holds a BS from Yale University magna cum laude, an MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Eric Lan is the Vice President of Engineering and is responsible for the development and delivery of solutions to Success Metrics' customers. Prior to joining Success Metrics, Eric served as Senior Vice President of Products at E.piphany, managing over 200 engineers and overseeing all of E.piphany's products including the Analytic Service and CRM offerings. Prior to that, Eric served in similar roles at eConvergent and Remedy Corporation where he developed expertise in CRM and hosted solutions. Eric also served Hyperion Software as Vice President and Chief Architect, where he managed the product direction and developed the Essbase architecture and product. Eric also has experience at Oracle and Computer Associates, and has an MS in Computer Science from Indiana University and a BS in Computer Science from Tamkang University in Taiwan.
Dr. Rick Spickelmier, CTO, is responsible for the technology and product direction at Success Metrics. He brings over 17 years of software development experience to the company, including experience in enterprise architecture, databases and On Demand applications. Previously he served as Senior Director of Technology at Geac, a provider of financial software packages. Prior to that, he held the positions of CTO and Chief Architect at Extensity, a provider of travel and expense management software, until its acquisition by Geac. He also worked in a number of management, architecture and development roles at Objectivity, a provider of Object Objected Database Management Software. Rick has participated as a panelist and presenter at numerous conferences and industry events. He is a member of IEEE and has authored several books and publications. Rick holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University.
